Who We Are...
On November 15, 2006 The Commonwealth of Kentucky
acquired their Fifth Chapter of the Blue Star Mothers of
America, Inc. Kimberly Piol, President and founder of the
Northern Kentucky Chapter 5 was officially sworn in by
Debra Nichols, Kentucky Liaison of the Blue Star Mothers
of America, Inc. & President of Chapter One in
Lexington, KY.
The main focus of the Northern Kentucky Chapter 5 is to
send Goodie Boxes to our troops serving in Iraq,
Afghanistan and on any hostile foreign soil. These boxes
are just a small way to say ìthank you for your sacrifice
and patriotism to our nationî and to let the troops know
there will always be people back home thinking about them
and praying for them.
We
give support to our veterans as well as giving moral
support to each other. We attend the funerals to
pay respect to those that have given the ultimate
sacrifice for our country by giving their lives so we can
continue to enjoy our freedoms. We attend deployment
ceremonies and re-deployment ceremonies as another way to
say thank you for all you do.
